Safety transformers
Safety transformers reduce the voltage to a safe voltage level. These are usually single-phase transformers operating at grid frequency with a separated secondary winding to provide protection, with the voltage on the secondary winding not exceeding 50 V in idle state.
Safety transformers are used in low-voltage industrial and electrical installations.
Typical parameters:
Primary voltage: ≤ 1,000 V
Secondary voltage: ≤ 50 V
Insulation class: B, F, or H
Protection rating: IP00-IP67 (not applicable to leads)

Safety transformers in accordance with PN-EN61558-2-6. PN-EN61558-2-6 standard.
A typical design is based on EI laminations. Transformers can be made either open or encapsulated by placing them in a resin-filled housing or by impregnating them.
